SWIIMS DROP INDIE ROCK GEM TITLED “GIVEN TO ME”

SWiiMS are a brilliant indie rock/shoegaze band with monster pop hooks. This Canadian power trio’s [update, as of February 2024 they’ve just upgraded to being a full-blown quartet!] latest jam, “Given To Me” is roughly three and a half minutes of sonic bliss. The guitar tones are pristine, the bass grooves sound the way silk feels, the drums crack in the right ways, plus the hi-hat never stops dancing. Then, there’s the song’s uncanny vocals. Singer Mai Diaz Langou’s voice meshes insanely well with the guitars and bass. There are moments during the chorus where the bass line mimics her vocal melody, or maybe it’s the other way around, but it’s easily one of the coolest things we’ve heard in ages. This is a must-have for indie and shoegaze fanatics.
