With their electro, RnB aesthetic and her “Chill vibe” and soothing voice, YellowStraps, a Belgian based trio, and St. South, an Australian singer/producer/songwriter, pair well together on YellowStraps latest single, “Night’s Up”.
Opening with a quick drum tempo, voices talk in the background as it leads to St. South’s vocals. As her soothing voice sings over the track, backed by YellowStraps beats, she puts the listener into a trance. As the song reaches the chorus, the beat doesn’t change much, staying relaxed, finally reaching a point where the drums drop off and piano enters. The drums return over the piano as St. South fades out and YellowStraps takes over the track, adding other electric elements to the track.

Originally started by brothers Alban & Yvan Murenzi, who are self-taught musicians, they soon added third member Ralph Stark on drums, filling out their sound. Relaxed, calming, and soothing, YellowStraps brings their electro neo-soul as they continue to release more content.
