Tourist Wash

UK producer composer Tourist released a video today for the track “Hush” off of his latest EP Wash. The instrumental track is augmented by beautiful shots of Los Angeles intercut with Tourist playing piano in various houses of his friends, like Benny Blanco, Rostam and RL Grime. Directed by Dillon Moore, the video is alternates between the dichotomy of the serene and chaotic in Los Angeles. Much like the track plays with beautiful melody and a driving underbeat. The sound design highlights this by cutting between live performances on piano and the actual track underscoring the shots of the city.

Tourist recently released a remix album featuring remixes of the first track off of Wash, “We Stayed Up All Night feat. Ardyn.” It features remixes by Tom Demac and Matthew Dear. You can listen to the tracks here.

He recently wrapped up a summer tour supporting Bonobo and Bob Moses, and played a celebrated set at this year’s Coachella Festival. He is currently the UK before heading out to Australia. Keep your eyes peeled here for upcoming dates in the US.

Tourist rocketed to worldwide fame with his Grammy win for co-writing Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me,” but before that he had high profile remixes for Chvrches, Haim and Christine and the Queens. He published three other EP’s before his first full-length, U, debuted last year to critical acclaim.
