Shortly after the release of their 7th studio album ‘Total Retaliation‘ Los Angeles’ Terror hits their hometown with the third show of the Total Retaliation Invasion over at the 1720 Warehouse in downtown and just like any LA Terror show, it was absolute insanity.
Along with them on this run are Harm’s Way, Backtrack, Year of the Knife and Candy. So you know it was a total mosh fest of a show.
Two days after releasing a banger of a record, Candy got the ball rolling and in no time the heavy pitting commenced. Their latest record ‘Good to Feel’ is high up in my list (and probably the best cardio music right now), so best check that out.
Delaware’s Year of the Knife didn’t waste any time to keep things going. Another band who put out some heat this year, this band brings the fucking heavy every time.
What else is there to say about the New York hardcore’s finest, Backtrack. They fucking rip!
Shortly after, Harm’s Way took on the stage just a few days after suffering one of the biggest (and shittiest) possible blow to any band, having their trailer stolen in Las Vegas right before the tour started. Fortunately being part of a tight-knit community which is hardcore, through march sales and a Gofundme set by Twitching Tongues. The band raised enough to make up for what was lost.
Regardless of that misfortune, Harm’s Way brought the house down and gave Los Angeles a beating.
As Terror got ready to take the stage, the anticipation grew larger as the crowd got bigger and bigger. But if you’ve seen them before, they don’t waste any time playing all the jams. There is definitely nothing like a Terror show in Los Angeles. Stage dives, backflips, front flips, spin kicks, mosh pits, circle pits, dog piles, mic grabs, fists in the air, fists to your head, that one awkward fight, you name it, it was right there.
This was the record release show that Terror deserved.
Los Angeles hardcore is alive and well.
There are still a ton of dates left on this tour so be sure to check that show out when it hits a town near you.
