The first wave of SummerCamp artists has been released, and it is jam packed with superstar names. Set for another annual Memorial Weekend in central Illinois, the largest surprise is likely the inclusion of moe. On hiatus after bassist Rob Derhak announced his oropharyngeal cancer diagnosis, this will be among the first few shows that the band plays since his clean bill of health around one month ago.
There are shows from moe. and hometown hero’s Umphrey’s Mcgee on all three days of the festival, plus two sets from Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band which includes Phil’s son Grahame Lesh. Even without these heavy hitting headliners, the remainder of the first wave is filled with as many big names as one could hope. STS9, Diplo, Greensky Bluegrass, Tipper, EOTO, Beats Antique, Keller Williams, Yonder Mountain String Band, Action Bronson, Kyle Hollingsworth Band and Lettuce are just some of the additional names, names that would be headlining many other festivals.
A quick glance at the lineup shows the great diversity that will be present in Chillicothe, IL on May 25-27. From hip-hop/rap, to classic jam, bluegrass jam, jamtronica, dubstep/electronica, funk and more…SummerCamp is certain to have plenty of draw for fans of many styles of music. Tickets are on sale now!
