On August 8th, Sum 41 announced their full North American Fall 2016 tour with support from scene veterans Senses Fail and UK pop-punk darlings As It Is. This tour comes in support of their yet-to-be-released new album ’13 Voices’ due out on October 7th, via Hopeless Records. Sum 41 will kick off the tour on October 5th in Orlando and make over twenty stops in cities across the United States and Canada before wrapping on November 6th in Los Angeles.

The band teamed up with CID Entertainment in order to provide three separate levels of VIP experience for their Don’t Call It A Sum-Back Tour. The amenities include everything from pre-show jams to watching the show side stage. VIP pre sale began Tuesday, August 9 at 10am local time. Public on sale begins Friday, August 12 at 10am local time. As well as the aforementioned VIP perks, Sum 41 also teamed up with the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund for this tour to help raise money and awareness. For twenty five years, the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund has been providing financial assistance in the form of grants, medical bill reductions, and outside assistance to all types of career musicians and music industry workers who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems.

At the beginning of the summer the band released a music video for their first single off of ’13 Voices’ entitled “Fake My Own Death”. Already amassing 3+ million views the video has also garnered praise from notable outlets such as Billboard, MTV, Alternative Press, Huffington Post, Mashable, Entertainment Weekly, Loudwire, Bustle and more. The release of this ten-track full length will be the first release from the band in five years, following up their 2011 release ‘Screaming Bloody Murder’.

Whibley began writing for 13 Voices immediately following his four-month stint in the hospital. The frontman recalls, “I had to learn how to do everything again – my motor skills, learning how to play guitar again… I couldn’t even walk at the time. It was really difficult, but at the same time if I didn’t have a record to make, I don’t think I would have recovered as quickly, or even at all. Writing music gave me a purpose. I had to get better.” With Whibley’s health improving, he took on the project of of recording, producing and engineering ’13 Voices’ at his home in Los Angeles.
