A multi-genre approach focused on folk and psychedelia, Someday River is a musical project created by Greyson Paul Charnock. Creating experiences through music, his latest single tries to create the feeling of looking down from a high vantage point. The song soars with beautiful guitar riffs, fast drums, and minimalistic lyrics, allowing the sound itself to be the focal point.
Starting simply with guitar, drums enter to and drive the song, allowing it to weave and bend, giving the feeling of flight. Towards the middle of the song, Charnock finally speaks, saying “In the morning time when it’s glowing, fall asleep to the thought of just knowing the way… When you’re up at night keep it open. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves.”
Considered now an art-rock band, Charnock is exploring the idea of being the silent observer through “So it Glows”.
