The iconic metal act Slipknot is canceling all of their summer Knotfest tour dates today over the coronavirus pandemic, a move that was bound to happen. The band posted on their social media accounts stating they’re looking forward to performing for fans again while refunds are going to be made available for all ticket holders.
The canceled tour dates include all of their North American Knotfest Roadshow dates, their Knotfest UK shows, and Knotfest At Sea. Their additional shows in Germany and elsewhere are also being canceled.
The North American dates were revealed earlier in the year and included A Day To Remember, Underoath, and Code Orange. Knotfest UK’s lineup had yet to be revealed beyond Slipknot performing. Knotfest At Sea was set to be featuring Anthrax, Behemoth, Devildriver, Sevendust, Skindred, Ho99o9, Higher Power, and Sleep Token. Other acts were also going to be announced later.

Now, much like other bands, Slipknot is canceling their tour dates fully so fans can get refunds for the shows. Refunds options are being emailed to ticket holders directly while they’re contacting Knotfest At Sea attendees about postponement information.
“Unfortunately Slipknot’s summer 2020 touring, including the North American Knotfest Roadshow, Knotfest UK and Knotfest At Sea, will not be happening. The band looks forward to performing for its fans again and will do so when everyone’s safety can be assured. All ticket holders will be emailed directly with refund options, Knotfest At Sea purchasers will be contacted with postponement information.”
