KROQ Presents and Gnarlytown producer SGE has announced On The Water Festival slated for Oct 12-13 at Huntington State Beach. The new Huntington Beach festival will feature headlining sets from Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads and 311.
Slightly Stoopid, who is hosting the event, will play two nights at On The Water with an electric set on Saturday and an acoustic set on Sunday.
“Stoked to playing the On The Water Festival this October in Huntington Beach with all our friends,” said Slightly Stoopid’s Miles Doughty in a release. “Where the music hits the sand and the sun hits the tan! We’re stoked to join forces with SGE to bring an epic music experience on the beach to Southern California.”
On The Water also marks the debut of Slightly Stoopid’s Vintage Poster Gallery, featuring their collection of rare tour and festival posters available for purchase and via charity auction.
On The Water will draw inspiration from Southern California’s rock, reggae, ska, jam and dub roots for its lineup that includes Chronixx, J Boog, The Interrupters, The Expendables and more.
“We are playing our home town with our favorite bands literally down the street from my house where I surf on a daily basis,” said Dirty Heads’ Jared Watson in a release. “These two days of music are gonna be unforgettable. This is the one show you don’t wanna miss!”
