Run the Jewels has finally announced their long-awaited new album, RTJ4, which drops surprisingly soon on June 8th. We all knew it was coming soon when the band released the first two singles “Ooh LA LA” and “Yankee and the Brave (ep. 4)” in late March.
In the announcement, Run the Jewels had this message for their fans:
Dear Jewels Runners Worldwide:
We were asked to write a message to you guys but all we can think to really say is THANK YOU.
Thank you for your support, thank you for your patience, and thank you for inspiring us to keep doing what we love. This is, as you know, our 4th album. We never thought that when we were doing the first one that RTJ would become our whole lives and honestly we are so grateful it did.
Thank you. From those that are buying the vinyl, or anything else, to those who are simply looking forward to the free download, or supporting on streaming. You are all appreciated and welcome in our world. To us you are Jewel Runners forever.
The band included a picture of the tracklist, which revealed some pretty exciting collaborations with Josh Homme, Zack De La Rocha, 2 Chainz, Mavis Staples and Pharrell Williams:
In typical Run the Jewels fashion, the album is available for preorder in a number of different packages. Options include exclusive magenta and gold vinyl colorways, t-shirt and hoodie packages and even a cassette. Preorder RTJ4 here.
