British hard rock duo Royal Blood have released a punishing new video for “Hook, Line and Sinker” off of their forthcoming album How Did We Get So Dark? The album drops June 16th from Warner Brothers. This is the second track released from the album following “Lights Out.”
The video, directed by Ben Lowe attempts to capture the live energy of guitarist/bassist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher in concert. Their heavy blues-tinged rock is the star of the show, but the crowd’s insanity is also highlighted. Fast cuts, jagged editing, strobing and beautiful black and white photography highlight the rawness of the band. Sweaty throngs of fans pump fists and thrash about being captured in moments by the strobe effects.
Royal Blood plays a few dates in June here in the States before they start their full US tour in July. They play the Wiltern on August 16th here in Los Angeles, buy tickets here.
