Grammy-nominated reggae/rock band Rebelution have released the second offering from their forthcoming sixth studio album, ‘Free Rein.’ On “City Life,” the band teamed up with acclaimed producer Winta James (Damian Marley, Chronixx) to flawlessly capture the relaxing feel of the song while frontman Eric Rachmany sings about his yearning for the slow-paced life outside of a big city. PRESS HERE to listen via Relix!

Rebelution’s sixth studio album ‘Free Rein’ will be released on June 15th as the fourth joint venture between their 87 Music label and NYC-based Easy Star Records. The album sees the California-based band exploring new genres more so than ever before as they fuse their classic reggae sound with R&B, rock, jazz, and folk. While still rooted in the Jamaican inspiration that Rebelution’s songs have always paid homage to, ‘Free Rein’ takes experimental leaps, welcoming old fans and new audiences alike. The band teamed up with not only Winta James, but also acclaimed Jamaican producer Don Corleon (Rihanna, Sean Paul) on several of the 12 exciting new tracks. The first single “Celebrate,” quickly climbed to the top of Spotify’s US Viral 50 chart, and earlier this week, the band released the coinciding visual. Rebelution will drop a new single from the album on the last Friday of every month until the album release.
