What’s better than having breakfast toast with your favorite spread, a hot cup of coffee, and a warm-filled jingle in the background? Nada. As for the jingle, we’re pretty certain the silky smooth folk/pop band The National Parks will be your go-to. Their music combines elements of vintage 70s folk with new-age pop that meshes together with ease. If you’ve ever been in need of a band that’ll make you really, REALLY feel, this is them. The group’s album Wildflower comes out tomorrow, (6/19) and will surely be added to your collection. Thankfully, lead vocalist/guitarist Brady Parks had some time before the album drop to give us a delectable Quarantunes Playlist.
HOW IS QUARANTINE LIFE? WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO KEEP YOURSELF OCCUPIED AT HOME?
Brady Parks: We’ve been keeping busy getting ready to release our new album Wildflower (out June 19) and practice for our upcoming “Campfire Tour!” We are based in Utah and because Utah has opened up gatherings up to 50 people, we have decided to do 12 acoustic shows all over the state around a campfire in backyards for groups of 40. We are so excited to get back out and start playing our music!
WHEN THIS IS ALL OVER, WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST?
Brady: Definitely looking forward to playing more shows, and, to be honest, I actually miss going to the movies. So I’m very much looking forward to grabbing a movie ticket and a large popcorn. Hopefully soon!
LET US KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PLAYLIST YOU’VE COMPILED FOR US!
Brady: This is a playlist of songs that are really hitting us right now. Some of our favorite artists and bands with music that feels fresh and exciting to us. It makes us feel like the world still has a lot of good in it and makes us hopeful for better days. We had to put one of our new songs on there too, no shame!
