A Place to Bury Strangers

A Place to Bury Strangers has released a new video for “Never Coming Back,” the first track off of their forthcoming album ‘Pinned’, due out April 13th. This is their first album in three years and their first with new drummer Lia Simone Braswell (who also contributes vocals on the track).

In a press release, frontman Oliver Ackerman said “That song is a big concept, you make these decisions in your life … you’re contemplating whether or not this will be the end. You think of your mortality, those moments you could die and what that means. You’re thinking about that edge of the end, deciding whether or not it’s over. When you’re close to that edge, you could teeter over.”

The starkly shot black and white video tries to capture some of the intensity of the band’s live shows and intercuts it with images of a woman being haunted by a spirit that may be her own past. The video was directed by Ackerman & Ebru Yildiz.

The band also announced a world tour (see dates below). A Place to Bury Strangers invades the Regent Theater on June 9th. You can get tickets here.

Preorder your copy of the deluxe pink vinyl only available here. The bundle comes with an exclusive Death By Audio designed guitar pedal.
