With their sharp grunge feel, Me Not You duo Niki Taylor and Eric Zeiler, former members of Little Daylight, bring rock to the forefront with their latest single, “Surfers”.

Synths open the song, with a cool drumbeat quickly followed by a slightly distorted electric guitar. Niki’s voice pairs well over the song, as she sings about a stranger that seems familiar.

Having released more pop like hits such as single “Overdose” under their previous band Little Daylight with third bandmate Matt Lewkowicz, Me Not You takes another approach to music by messing around with distortion, different synths, drums and electric guitars. They take an organic approach, recording what they feel like and seeing what fits, even using improvised recordings on their final songs, like the acapella portion of “Second Chances” off their 2017 EP Reckoning 1.

Listen to “Surfers” below:

Me Not You will no doubt find more ways to showcase their garage grunge rock vibe as they continue to release more music.
