Gabe Simon, the founding member of Nashville, TN-based indie rock band Kopecky, has another fruitful endeavor on the auditory horizon that believes in no first name; Mr. Gabriel.
Simon is known for his incredibly catchy songwriting within his various musical groups. His attentiveness to detail is remarkable yet uncanny. Tracks of his always sound squeaky clean and well-oiled. With is new project titled Mr. Gabriel, Simon elects to go solo (for the time being) and holds no reservations. With his previously released track “Help Me Out” receiving a plethora of golden reviews, it comes as no surprise that his second release “Millennial Falcon” hits the inner ears yet again with a multitude of fun and an overly addictive arrangement.
“Millennial Falcon” begins with Simon singing a catchy verse or two before the track quickly digs into a simmering stew of sonic epicness. The track speaks of our culture’s voyeuristic obsession with social media and glamour. With Mark Pontius from Foster the People providing the drums, the track’s demeanor is power, nutty, and ready to be made into a music video by the Daniels. Do you think Harrison Ford is available?

Although not much has been spelled out in terms of an upcoming EP or tour, it’s safe to say Mr. Gabriel will be one busy man in the not so distance future.
