With six members, including John Herbert, Dan Bell, Jake Bowser, Nicky Francis, Kyle Hall and Lyla Foy, Mono Club is a band with a perfect mix of alternative, psych-pop rock style. Their latest single, “Best Laid Plans” is a true testament to what the six members can create. Happy in tone, the perfectly paired voices of Herbert and Foy add a moody edge to the song.
Drums open the song, as guitar, keys, and Herbert and Foy join in. The song goes between moments focusing on drums and guitar and the keyboard. As the chorus falls in, the keys pick up, with the music eventually fading out towards the end.
