Ripping right out the gate, Jagd are the Netherlands fiercest punk export. The band’s new single “Luxaflex” is a high energy shot of sonic adrenaline. Loaded with jangly guitars, pulsating drums and hi-hat, that foot stomping bass groove and singer Nanne van der Linden’s sneering vocals; listening to “Luxaflex” is like riding a CBGB’s themed roller coaster. There’s a ton of twists and turns with flashy colored rails everywhere, it’s fast and exhilarating and over way too fast. They’ve been called: “Freaky indie rock, Broadway punk or new wave on speed” if this new single of theirs is any indication, all those descriptions are correct.
