Idle Eyes, an up and coming due based in San Francisco, are on the verge of a breakout year. Consisting of brothers John and Michael Fitzpatrick, Idle Eyes aims to fuse “musical traditions of yesterday with the dance-oriented production of today to create songs for the mind”.
“Everything’s Fine” is a prime example of old school vibes in the 21st century. The song is indicative of infamous bands such as Chicago and America. With a heavy helping of funky guitar littered throughout the track, Idle Eyes grips the listener with ease. Lyrically, the song’s carefree attitude suggests that everything is in fact fine. As the track progresses you can’t help to feel a warm sensation arrive throughout your body – it’s like you took a heavy gulp of whiskey yet didn’t have the stale, putrid aftertaste – just the warm and fuzzy body tingles.
