Chicago turned LA dweller and R&B artist Tom Krell may go by the moniker How To Dress Well but that doesn’t stop him to from being shirtless in the new music video “Body Fat”.
The track finds Krell singing in a fantastic falsetto fashion, the triple F. As the song progresses, a heart-thumping beat comes pouring in creating a tasty delicacy. Lyrically, the song addresses a relationship but also mentions self-image and body shaming issues. Lyrics such as: “There’s just so much pain and anger in your body fat” make the listener attempt to interoperate Krell’s writing.
Krell co-directed the video for “Body Fat” with visual artist Justin Daashuur Hopkins. Inside the video, we witness a shirtless, oiled up Krell. An empty, undulated version of his skin and CGI beads of what is made out to be body fat. Watch the video below:
Krell’s album ‘The Anteroom‘ comes out 10/19 on Domino.
