Los Angeles spent a beautiful night under the palm trees at Hollywood Forever Cemetery with the one and only Beach House. On tour throughout August in support of the most recent and seventh record properly titled ‘7‘, the dreamy music makers lit up the lawn Friday night.
The scene couldn’t be any more perfect than it was. Whether you were packed in the standing crowd in front of the stage or cuddled up with your lover on a blanket with wine and cheese, you got the full experience. Beginning at 8:30 PM sharp, Victoria Legrand completely cast a love spell on the audience. Her voice is beyond enticing and blends so perfectly with the tones of her keyboard and Alex Scally’s guitar stylings. Swaying along to favorite tunes such as “Master of None” off their self-titled debut record and “Space Song” off their ever-dreamy and critically-acclaimed fifth record, ‘Depression Cherry‘, the fans were captivated.
We also got to hear plenty of new beauties off the latest, such as “Lemon Glow” and the appropriately titled “Drunk In LA”. As always, Beach House provided a beautiful light show along with the music and graphics on the screen.
As far as perfect shows go, this one is right up there as it so rightfully earned. The lengthy set left attendees struck and slowly wandering out of the dark cemetery.
