Metalcore steamrollers August Burns Red have announced their new album today, Phantom Anthem. The album will follow their 2015 Billboard Top 10 release, Found In Far Away Places. This will be the band’s seventh record over the course of their 14-plus year career.
The Lancaster, PA-based quintet combined forces with SiriusXM Liquid Metal to debut their new track “Invisible Enemy”. A strikingly artistic music video accompanies the newly released song. In the video, the five band members are cast as a group of marionette puppets. The video beings with lead singer Jake Luhrs’ puppet gradually looking up as a gentle snowfall ensues. Seconds later, the track fires off, exploding into a massive amount of quick jump cuts. Close-up shots spotlighting members of the band playing their miniature instruments is one of the highlights. Watch the video below:
“Invisible Enemy” pumps your ears full of classic August Burns Red riffs and melodies. It’s a marathon of a track from start to finish that provokes utter chaos along with a fistful of energy. Luhrs’ is heard projecting his trademark scream with the lyrics: “Be scared or be brave. Where we end is all the same. Be scared or be brave. Memories are everything.”
Phantom Anthem comes out October 6th via Fearless Records. Pre-orders are available now through the band’s website. Three different vinyl selections are available for purchase along with a variety of bundle packages.
