UK based synthwave band Gunship is about to release their second album Dark All Day. In celebration they have released an amazing animated video featuring vampires for the title track “Dark All Day.”

The video is set in Santa Clara, the fictitious Northern California town made famous in Lost Boys. The head of the vampires David, played by Kiefer Sutherland in the movie, faces off against other legendary vampire related characters like Blade, Seth Gecko and the Frog Brothers. Meanwhile, Gunship is performing on stage in the background. The video features several references to other legendary horror movies like Predator and From Dusk Till Dawn.

The video also features the Saxman himself, Tim Cappello, from Lost Boys tearing up epic sax solos throughout. He appears as both an animated character and live action. The video culminates in blood raining down as singer Indiana dances in the red rain. At the end, everyone is transformed into a vampire, including the band.

Animators Angry Metal Studios really layered in the movie references, creating an experience on par with Batmetal. Check out all of Angry Metal’s creations here.

You can preorder Dark All Day here. It is available in several options, including a numbered limited edition lenticular double LP, here.
