California new-wave outfit Dreamcar ended their weekend SoCal stint at the Fonda Theatre Sunday August 13th. The supergroup, which features members of AFI and No Doubt, released their self-titled debut this past May and quickly took the internet by storm. While the 80s sound couldn’t be further away from AFI and No Doubts punk rock roots, the band is celebrated amongst both diverse fan bases for its nostalgic and catchy sound.

The crowd roared as the band took the stage with the charismatic and undoubtedly talented frontman Davey Havok walking on last. The set began with the opening track off their self-titled record, “After I Confessed.” The performance sounded so polished and precise, it was almost as if it was played off the record. The chemistry The band played a good majority of their record along with a cover of “Just What I Needed” by The Cars and “Suffragette City” by the late David Bowie.
