Django Django exposure

British electronic/alt-rock quartet, Django Django, have announced their third album, Marble Skies, due out January 26th from Ribbon Music. It is their first release since 2015’s Born Under Saturn. The band formed during their tenure at the Edinburgh Art School and solidified a signature sound built around psychedelic-electro undercurrents and unison vocals that fracture into intricate harmonies.

They also released a video for their first single “Tic Tac Toe.” Directed by John Maclean, keyboardist for The Beta Band and brother of Django Django drummer David Maclean, director of the Michael Fassbender western Slow West. The video depicts lead singer Vincent Neff as he walks to the store in fast forward through the UK beach town of Hastings.

In a press release, Maclean waxes poetic about the meaning of the video: “The film could be about the fading era of the beach arcades, time moving too fast, love and games, horror and happiness but it is actually about a man who needs to go buy a pint of milk to make a cup of tea.”

You can preorder the Rough Trade exclusive colorway (pink and blue) vinyl of Marble Skies here. It comes with a bonus 6 Track white label 12″ – Django Django meets Wrongtom Marble Dubs.

You can also preorder a digital copy on iTunes here.
