Love and loss can be some of the greatest emotions a person goes through in a lifetime. Austin based synth-pop duo BUHU channels both in their upcoming debut album, starting with love in their single, “Yew”.
Brooding and romantic, “Yew” is a love song written for Buhu frontman Jeremy Roger’s wife. He creates an atmosphere of reflection with synths and drums, leading into to a build before he begins to see how “I wanted more than I could take”. With his calming voice, Rogers sings of his love and how she has changed him for the better.
