The fourth annual Air + Style Festival, mixing snowboarding and music, has announced this year’s lineup. Phoenix, ZEDD and Gucci Mane will headline this year’s event, held March 3rd and 4th at Exposition Park at the LA Coliseum.
This year will incorporate skateboarding for the first time. This new course will feature fast, high-flying skateboarding by the world’s best skaters on a transition based concrete skatepark, inspired by America’s best DIY parks. This year’s snowboard offering will showcase urban snowboarding, switching it up from last year’s big air jump, instead showcasing the world’s best snowboarders competing on a rideable snow covered street scene.
Festival founder Shaun White who is currently preparing for the 2018 Olympics in South Korea next month says “I can’t wait to come home from the energy of the Olympics to Air + Style Los Angeles. The festival is a combination of all my passions sport, music, art and culture and the fact it happens in my home state of California and in Downtown LA, makes it even more special.”
In addition to the headliners, the festival will feature 20 acts spread over two stages. Cut Copy, DRAM, Phantogram and Washed Out will all perform amongst many others. Professional skateboarders Pedro Barros, CJ Collins and Cory Juneau will compete, as well as professional snowboarders Zak Hale, Louif Paradis and Anto Chamberlin.
Acclaimed street artists Vyal Reyes, Ricky Watts and Spencer “MAR” Gilbert will be live painting as well. And don’t forget food. Local celebrity chef Roy Choi will be curating a food lineup chocked full of local delicacies.
