Although not much is known of KLANGPLANET including the origins of his obscure alias, the fact remains that Munich-based beatmaker Frieder Mollat will soon be signing vinyl sleeves around the world.
From an early age, Mollat has been honing in on his musicality. Graduating from college as a musicologist in 1995 he began working with elite record labels such as Warner Music and Edel records. As time went on Mollat began writing music for several projects and signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing in 2001, which is still effective.
2017 marked the electronic artist’s milestone with the launch of his solo project, KLANGPLANET. His new EP titled “Electronic Universe” evokes styles from early Chicago acid-jazz to European deep-house. On “Cruising”, the track takes the listener on a, yes, you guessed it, a cruise. Combining jazz with electronic nuances, KLANGPLANET keeps the listener engaged throughout the entire song.
